St Andrews CE High School

The Croydon based school approached Guntrisoft with plans to replace their existing website. With ideas of helping staff and students with induction, and rapidly changing content - Guntrisoft were happy to help.

Director of Information and Computing Technology (ICT) Mark Davis contacted Guntrisoft after hearing about our work with previous clients. He was looking for a developer to replace their existing website, which had been live since September 2004.

The key objectives for the project were as follows:

Look and Feel

Design a new look for the website which carried across the professional image of the school, but also allowing for each department to customise their own section of the site.

Induction

Improve the induction process for both students and staff by gathering information on new students, including and interactive tour of the school, all protected by a private login.

Content Management

With "the latest" constantly changing in the community of a school, Mark needed a range of individuals to be able to update the content of the site. The schools website is the ideal place to advertise plays, sports day and days out, or to showcase students’ work. Adding that information needs to be easy - there’s nothing worst than an out of date website.

The solution

After a rapid development and extensive testing in the staging environment, Guntrisoft delivered the finished website to the client in July. Mark added the initial content and the website was launched on the live host in August.
